Two Pacific Beach Festivals to Check Out This Fall

If you’ve ever been to San Diego’s Pacific Beach, you know that it’s pretty close to paradise. With scenic sands, great shopping, and plenty of food and drink options to choose from, you can’t go wrong when you hang out in PB. Every fall, Pacific Beach celebrates the places, spaces, and people that make it unique by hosting two local festivals. The first is the Heart of PB Restaurant Walk, perfect for foodies that want to experience the local culinary scene, while the second is Pacific Beachfest, featuring a 5k and plenty of local craft beer.

Heart of PB Restaurant Walk

Stroll down to the center of Dawes and Lamont streets on Wednesday, September 11 between 4 and 9 p.m. to discover the best of Pacific Beach restaurants at the Heart of PB Restaurant Walk. Take part in this leisurely self-guided food tour featuring a variety of entries from local establishments. For $25, try signature dishes from over 15 different restaurants located right here in Pacific Beach. Vegetarian options are also available, and participating restaurants will be noted on the ticket map. Come hungry!

Pacific Beachfest

On October 5, 2019, the Pacific Beachfest hits the streets of PB once again! This full-day event in Pacific Beach is loaded with activities and is perfect for anyone looking to have some fun. Start the morning off at 8:30 a.m. with the Pacific Beach 5K, before enjoying the VAVI 4Sum Volleyball Tournament, at 9 a.m. The festival really kicks off at 11 a.m., with live music, the Fish Taco Contest, and the Big Josh Foundation beer garden. Be sure to bring the kids and check out Kids Action Alley, on Thomas Street, packed with rides, games, and activities. Boogie to the music and enjoy the day in Pacific Beach!

After a day of fun, retreat to the Pacific Terrace Hotel, located just around the corner from both festivals. Our comfortable oceanside accommodations and scenic beachfront patios make your trip to San Diego a getaway you won’t soon forget.
