Just a short drive away from The Pacific Terrace Hotel, the Del Mar racetrack is full of action, excitement, and some pretty amazing hats. Opening day at Del Mar Races is upon us, and we’ve got the scoop on making your experience a great one!
The annual racing season at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club kicks off on July 18. Plan on attending opening day, where you can win a prize for creativity, style, and the courage to wear the boldest hat that you can find. The races will continue to run five days a week throughout the summer, Wednesday through Sunday; find tickets and more information on times and special events on the Del Mar Club site.
The Del Mar Racetrack also hosts non-racing events, including a summer concert series and family weekends that everyone can enjoy. Also be sure to check out the various food vendors and restaurants in and around the stadium for San Diego cuisine. Whether you’re placing bets or indulging in local eats, you can always expect fun in the sun.
