Pacific Beach Area Guide

Pacific Terrace Hotel is located in north Pacific Beach, a vibrant and colorful beach town, bordered on the north by La Jolla and by Mission Beach/Mission Bay to the south. Pacific Beach, often referred to as "PB" by the locals, maintains a cool, casual vibe while excitement and merriment bubble just under the surface. There is a buzz of electricity and fun.

This iconic Southern California beach community maintains a lively atmosphere attracting the young and active. A paved boardwalk, officially called Ocean Front Walk, parallels the beach from North PB's Tourmaline Surfing Park to the Mission Bay jetty to the south. This 3.2 mile path is home to kitschy shops, funky beach bars, lifeguard stations, and restaurants along the boardwalk. You can find locals, out-of-towners, bicyclists, rollerbladers, and shoppers enjoying the San Diego sunshine and cool ocean breezes.

Our San Diego hotel near Pacific Beach offers easy and seamless access to the local nightlife, featuring a great variety of bars, live music venues, ethnic eateries, local coffee houses and boutique and vintage clothing stores. With all of this in mind, we have put a list together of all of our favorite things to see and do that are right in our own backyard.
