San Diego Things to Do - San Diego Mardi Gras Parade & Party 2016

Let the good times roll! The official 2016 San Diego Mardi Gras Big Easy Parade & Celebration takes place Saturday, Feb. 6, from 5PM to midnight. Those 21 and older are welcome to head over to the Gaslamp Quarter in costumes that reflect the spirit of "Fat Tuesday." The celebration features 5 stages and nationally and internationally recognized DJ talents, so be prepared to dance, dance, dance!
General admission is $55 in advance, and $60 on the day of the party. VIP tickets are $85-$95, and include complimentary cocktails and shots, priority admission, preferred parade viewing and quicker access to upgraded comfort-station restrooms in the VIP Voodoo Lounge. You'll also receive complimentary Mardi Gras beads and front-of-the-line privileges at the Tin Roof Official After Party.
Those active in the military with I.D. enjoy special rates. Anyone can add on a food-and-beverage package, which features vouchers for use at participating Gaslamp Quarter restaurants and bars during Mardi Gras. These include Blue Point Coastal Cuisine, McFadden's and the Field Irish Pub. The Gaslamp Quarter is about a 20- to 25-minute drive from Pacific Terrace Hotel. If you purchase a San Diego Mardi Gras VIP ticket, you'll receive a $10 discount on Horton Plaza Ace parking. For more information, visit the San Diego Mardi Gras website.
