Balboa Park December Nights 2015 in San Diego
Dec. 4, 3-11PM
Dec. 5, noon-11PM
For the 38th consecutive year, Balboa Park December Nights provides holiday delights for families, couples and friends celebrating the season. Participating museums in the Park will open their doors and offer free admission, 5-9PM each night. Over 350,000 visitors are expected to take advantage of one of the largest community festivals in San Diego.
In addition to the museum, there will be live entertainment, music and an international array of foods. Some popular highlights include the Plaza de California annual Santa Lucia Procession, and the House of Pacific Relations Cottages' International Christmas Festival. Take advantage of holiday gift-buying opportunities from Spanish Village artisans and in the Museums' gift shops. There will also be dance and musical performances by the San Diego Civic Youth Ballet, San Diego Junior Theatre, and the Del Cerro Baptist Christmas Tree Story among others.
A new addition this year is the Children's Interactive Area, where families can experience games, crafts, and entertainment. The highlight is a giant "coloring book page" that features Balboa Park at the Community Mural. The Mural will be displayed during the holiday season in the Park. The Children's Interactive Area is stationed next to the historic Botanical Building.
Balboa Park is located about 30 minutes from Pacific Terrace Hotel. Since parking is limited, there will be free shuttles from parking lots in City College and downtown San Diego. Get more information on the San Diego December Nights page.
