Things to Do in San Diego - San Diego Beer Fest at Liberty Station

Love the suds? Dozens of fine craft breweries will be on hand at the 6th Annual San Diego Brew Fest. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, the festival takes place at Liberty Station on San Diego Bay in Point Loma. Join nearly 70 breweries including Aztec, Lagunitas IPA, Knee Deep Brewing Co. and Turquoise Barn Cider in San Diego, which has been called the "Craft Beer Capital of America," as they offer unlimited tastings of their finest drafts. Talk shop with the experts of ale both local and international, and get their insights into what makes a delicious pint. Hang out in the park with friends all afternoon, and enjoy the live music and games.

General admission, which is $40, gets you those unlimited tastings, 1-4PM, or pay $50 for the VIP treatment and an extra hour, noon-4PM. Food trucks will also offer scrumptious eats, which is sold separately, so bring cash. These include New York on Rye, Hana Hou to Go and Marcel Waffle. Tickets for SD Beer Fest can be purchased in advance online. Proceeds from the San Diego Beer Fest benefit Noah's B-ark Pet Rescue, which takes care of pets that have been liberated from shelters and finds them permanent homes.

Liberty Station is about 20 minutes from Pacific Terrace. Please remember to drink responsibly and designate a driver. This is a 21+ event. Visit the San Diego Beer Fest website for more information.
